Kenya Health Newsletters - 2025

Dear Friends of Kenya Health

Thank you for your continued support as we strive to deliver essential healthcare and education to underprivileged communities across Kenya. Every dollar donated to Kenya Health goes directly towards improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in Kenya and your contributions make it possible to maintain our recent activities. As outlined below in this edition, we share updates on our work and how you can get involved.

Our Recent Activities at Kenya Health

Free Medical Clinics

Operating mobile clinics in Nakuru (slums, rubbish dump, women's prisons) and in remote villages surrounding Nakuru. These clinics are provided by Australian Volunteers and local clinicians providing both health consultations and medications.

Health Education & Community Outreach

Local nurses provide Swahili-language health talks on safe medicine use, prevention, and general wellness.

Volunteer Impact & Stories

Volunteers report meaningful experiences, seeing firsthand how donations are used and building strong bonds with communities.

What’s Next for Kenya Health

- Expanding our clinic schedule to reach more remote villages.
- Collaborating with the local Health and Church groups to align with health goals.
- Enhancing volunteer training in preventive care and disease surveillance.
- Improving follow-up care for patients through local staff support.

One of our long-term goals is to start a permanent Monday to Friday health clinic at our facility at Piave. Whilst still in the planning and development stage we envision a clinic that provides health consultations and medication for the local rural community members who would otherwise not be able to access care. This initiative would require a six-month financial sponsorship initially and will be self-sustaining after this period.

Spotlight Story - Meet Rosemary

Rosemary, our nurse/midwife based in Kenya, has been involved with Kenya Health since its inception, providing care beyond outreach clinics by following up with patients and maintaining community connections. Her dedication reflects Kenya Health's commitment to sustainable healthcare, not just one-time treatment. The Team Leader of visiting teams work closely with Rosemary to develop a program of clinic locations to enable access to those most in need.

Closing Thoughts

Health is more than treating illness—it's about prevention, education, and building systems that serve everyone. With your help, Kenya Health continues to reach the most vulnerable. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Stay well,

The Kenya Health Team
